Adding a room

After you have created a Room Type, you can start creating the rooms themselves. You can do this manually, or generate several identical numbers at once.

Creation by hand

If there are few rooms of this type, or they differ significantly from each other, then in this case you can create each room separately. To do so, enter Hotels / Rooms, and then select the Room type you need. You will be creating rooms there.

Then, below the list of the room types, click + Add Room

Here you need to fill in two sections - General information and Settings.

Remember that fields marked with * are required.

General Info

Name - the name of the number. Usually this is a digital value, i.e. the room number.

Internal name - a title with any marks that will be visible to employees only.

Wing - If you have several buildings, then specify which of them the number room in.

Floor - The floor where the room is located.

Facilities - from the drop-down list, indicate all the facilities available in the room.

Allow Smoking? - set the switch to the appropriate position "Yes" or "No".

Window View - Select the required option from the offered list.

Settings

Included? - Set the switch to "No" if for some reason you do not want visitors or reservation systems to see it.

Status - if the room is under repair, or in the reserve, then put the corresponding status.

Congratulations, the room is created at this point.

Important! Do not forget to save the changes after filling in all the fields.

Room generation

If your hotel has a lot of identical rooms, then creating them manually will be time-consuming. To avoid this, there is a special tool - Room Generator. It allows you to create any number of rooms with same parameters. To get started with the generator, enter Hotels / Rooms, and then select the necessary Room type, where you will be creating rooms.

Then in the menu below the list of room types click on Generate Rooms.

In the opened window it is necessary to fill in the Basic information:

Fields From and To - here you must specify the numbers of rooms that you want to create. If you want to add, for example, 7 rooms, and the numbering starts at 102, then in the From field put 102, and in To 108.

Wing - the building where the rooms are located.

Floor - floor, where the rooms are located.

Prefix - the prefix will be written in the name of the room before the numeric value. This function is added, because, unlike in the manual creation, it is impossible to specify the letter values ​​in the fields From and To.

Smoking? - set the switch to "Yes" or "No" if desired.

After filling the required fields, click the Generate Rooms button at the bottom of the screen. In the list of rooms you will see the rooms created in the type of room you are interested in.
